Tolowa Tribal Land

This map encompasses the land of over a dozen different tribes of the Northern California region.  Perhaps the most important aspect of this map is that it establishes and records the boundaries of native land and different tribes.  This map is particularly valuable because after the genocide was carried out against the indigenous population, much of their history and heritage was lost. This map preserves a piece of both state and cultural history.
